Too Little Too Late

by Hannah Emellia   Jun 19, 2007

See my eyes in icy shade,
Angry thoughts my face betrayed,
Burning blackness on my part,
Wounds still gaping in my heart.

You left me in shadows,
My own private gallows,
And you're too good to see,
Just what you've done to me.

Mocking features on my face,
Moments gone without a trace,
Fading into memories,
All our fights, our bigotries.

Our loves tired and it's worn,
No longer a flower, just a thorn,
Time to surrender to lost cause,
Don't let the wound fester in our flaws.
