LiViNg a LiE

He wants to be a part of me, he wants to be in my life,
He says he loves me to bits and I'm gonna be his wife,
All this time he says he wants to be with me to hold my hand through thick and thin,
But all this time I've sat here waiting and wondering where he's bin.
The nights got cold and the days passed by,
I finally found I'd been living a lie.
I hold his picture close to my heart and remember those words " We'll never be apart".
The day he went to the shops he said he'd be back by noon,
But little did i know he'd be leaving me so soon.
With a new born baby to bring up on my own,
Not knowing my love had a heart made of stone.
I often stop to think what I have ever done wrong,
For him to leave me so soon for so long.
As years pass by I sit and cry hoping my child will never ask why,
I was left on my own to bring up our child by my lover who left me to be living a lie.
