Just Like Heaven

by hayley   Jun 19, 2007

Moist lawns of green grass.
People stare as they pass.
Houses different sizes and shapes.
In the back yards trees that grow purple grapes.
People young and old.
Summers hot and winters cold.
Children go to school.
In the summer they go to the community pool.
During the holidays there’s spirit to go around.
Especially Christmas when snow falls on the ground.
In the town square the angel fountain runs.
Even though in this town there are no nuns.
Happiness and joy fly through the sky.
On every window sill sits an apple pie.
The perfect town.
All the way down.
Past the states of America.
Past the oceans of blue.
It’s a place only you can find.
It is within your own mind.

Sometimes its fun to escape to the depths of your mind, where your imagination can go on overdrive and run wild and create places that really dont exist. Maybe we wont have to keep running off to our minds, maybe one day we will find a place just like heaven. Nice poem.

    Take Care :)
