5 minutes...

Five minutes ago, we were still together

Just then, it seemed we were headed for forever

But just a few words changed everything that might have been

Everything was clear, and i knew what you mean..

You held my hand, in search for understanding

I looked at you and the tears i was fighting back started flowing

I tried to fake a smile so it wouldn't be as hard

Looked at you one last time, and let go of ur hand..

In between sobs, I nodded to pretend I understand

But my heart says, how can you throw away everything that we had?

Silence fell between us. then there was nothing left to say

So I bowed out and headed on my way

Each step I take I just cant help thinking...

Will you ever care to know how your words cut through my heart

like a knife?

Or realize that this was the most painful, and longest
five minutes of my life?
