Single String

by Robin   Jun 20, 2007

Forgetting all the shadowed days
Looking for the other ways
Trying hard to not hold back
Or keep myself from losing track

Tied like a single string
I thought it would never end
And I let it slip through my outstretched hands

Forming like a piece of art
Put together in the dark
Smooth as cream and light as rain
Stairs circling again

Failing to shut the gap
Hopelessly lost without a map
Fingers searching frantically
Letting go as you and me

What good will it ever do,
Pleading with the moon?
Stripped under the night
I will always be the only one.
