Innocent years were the best of our lives,
But all we wanted then was to grow up,
Here I am wishing I could go back,
Have a second chance,
Be a kid again.
I wish I could say the boy I like gave me tummy tingles,
Or dance around with no clothes on,
I still do but it's not the same,
Now everything comes with consenquences.
I want to be able to play in the sand,
Or have my mom take care of me when I'm sick,
I want to go back to where boys had cooties,
But I still "loved" them anyways.
I want to make up stories about being a princess,
And actually believe that they are true,
I don't want to ever get hurt again,
Can't life be like it was when we were two?
