Thoughts Drowning

by Anthony   Jun 20, 2007

Sitting in the darkened room
the darkness becomes darker.
The pill sets in.
His mind slips into the trip.

The wild animals eating at our sides.
Blood drips from the walls.
The ghost appears from the doorway.

Thoughts drowning.
Dreams from child hood devoured by fears of adulthood.
Fears of adulthood devoured by dreams of childhood.

Hold strong, waiver your position for no one.

I like this. The wording is unique and the way you set it out doesn't conform to cliche structures, which would devalue the meaning. I don't understand all of it but obviously it is hard to if we are not in your position. I particulary liked the ending, it reads to me as a resolution not to give up. Nice write :)

That is really powerful and to recieve that shivering sensation in such a short and short worded poem is so deep, I really like it
