Lost in Despair

by KeyxMashingxParody   Jun 20, 2007

Love is never found, never seen nor heard,
Hearts are silent here, they never speak a word.
Kept in divinity, never truly here,
Lost in expectancy, love is to fear.

Surprising as the morning sun, or afternoon set,
I see everything I've ever touched, forgotten to forget.
Kept in life, never truly lived,
Lost in loneliness, with no expressions to give.

Pain is always found, seen and spoken,
Angels cry in despair, as demons slowly choke them.
Kept in hell, never truly burning,
Lost in a lesson, with nothing ever learning.

Love is never found, never seen nor heard,
Hearts are quiet here, they never speak a word.
Kept in ego, never truly aware,
Lost in my own heart, I now feel the despair.

This poem, is great by any means. It's discriptive and painful; strong and interesting, truly a work to be proud of. My only thought about what should be changed is the, 'the,' in the last line, it extends that last line one syllable too long.

    Great work otherwise.
