To See You Cry

by On Cupids Bad Side   Jun 21, 2007

To see you cry
Is tearing me apart.
Every teardrop that falls
Is another crack at my heart.

I really wish you'd dry your eyes
And smile like you used to do.
But instead you cry quietly alone,
The sound of a mother's heart, breaking in two.

I can think back to those simpler times
When I would run to you with a bleeding knee,
And you would fix it up and dry my eyes,
Then you would hug and comfort me.

Even though those times were hard,
We were a family so close.
But now everyone's gone different paths,
It all fell apart, right under your nose.

I don't blame you for crying, not one bit.
I know you're sick of all the lies.
But for once, I wish you'd smile again,
And there'd be no teardrops falling from your eyes...

I Love You, Mom

Very sad and touching piece, I don't like it as much as the rest of yours, so I won't rate it.
    Keep up!
