I was startled awake this morning
just about 2:58 am
by the thunder booming in the cloudy sky
and the flash of lightning very near by
i rolled over on my stomach
and pulled the covers over my head
but all these thoughts of you and me
kept me awake again

ever since you found her
I've been trying everything i can
just to get along
but that OK
theres only one thing left to say

take your movies
and your music
take the thoughts of you
i don't use em
take the lies
and the half truths
but every now and then you'll think about me
take your T-shirts that i wore to bed
theres no more room in the drawer

i went out on a late night walk
tried to think about what i want
I'm getting tired of these tears
and thinking about all those years
that spent together
talking about our forever

someday we'll cross paths
and you'll see how much happier i am
I'll live to be just fine
while you sleep around with your pride
and every other woman you think is good enough
but can't take my place in your heart
and while you try to get over me
I'll be moved on with my life
