Sins and Sacrifice

by RetroRavey   Jun 21, 2007

Sacrificing myself
for what I could've been.
A beautiful tragedy
redeemed,
for her sins against
the eyes.
A tear escapes
opening the wound
even further,
breaking the heart
that promised to remain.
So many screams
that pierce the heart
and the lip.
Redemption is superficial.
Sacrifice is selfish.
