It is Over

by Dee   Jun 21, 2007

I am so dissapointed
In what you turned out to be
You were once my heartache
But now just a bitter memory

When I thought or talked about you
My heart skipped a beat
You were my destiny
But now you are my defeat

You played me for a fool
One to many times
There is nothing to discuss
No redemption this time

It is truly over
And I don't hurt that much
I guess that our destiny
Really was out of touch

I saw you as my goal
But you were really just the past
I used to get through the day
Thinking that our love would last

I lived each day with the dream
That we would reunite
And today I clearly see
That you an I were not right

I thought we shared this special dream
And that we would get back together
I thought that we would have these stories
To tell about the storms that we somehow weathered

Every dream I had
Somehow included you
I thought we would find ourselves
In the arms of me and you

I thought we had something special
Almost a fairly tale love affair
I was so mistaken
for thinking that you ever cared

How could you be so cold to me
Why did you lead me on
You knew from that first moment
That your love was gone

You lied to me, you misguided me
You kicked me hard when I was down
But I am known for kicking back
And I can stand my ground

I will be damned
to shed a single tear for you
Oh yes, you really hurt me
But I know just what to do

I will put on my walking shoes
And never look back at the past
I will never give you a chance again
This time was the last

Do not ask me how I am doing
Never even let my name cross your lips
You will only get the cold shoulder
Because I no longer give a shit

You are so far out of my life
And it only hurts a little
Because I just grow stonger
Each time I feel belittled

I am tired of being shit on
I will not ever settle for less
I am moving on
And I will be pleased with my sucess

You and I are over
There is NO chance for you and me
You really lost something special
That dream that was more than make believe
