The End

by Chemistry   Jun 21, 2007

Crash-
the earth falls into the great unknown
Scream-
everybody yells in pain- terror visibly shown

Rainbows slowly start to die out
fading into nothing
Taking my heart away with it
leaving not a single thing

Puddles- pools of red, warm blood
The people I know- I love
Gone
Dead
Lifeless
I stand here alone
full of hurt
desperate and forlorn

I kneel on my blood-stained knees
The pain already somewhat mediocre
Wondering when the suffering will cease
my only guess- never

Soon, I know I will follow
Death is warily creeping beside me
Stalking my every move,
making sure, it is he, I can not see

A chilling wind viciously blows
I feel numb
Death decides to strike
and helplessly I fall as I succumb

Air, I could not take in any
I gasp
Suffocate
As life is taken out of me
Now, there's no more pain
Only incomplete memories

    "Crash-
the earth falls into the great unknown
    Scream-
everybody yells in pain- terror visibly shown" - great start. The rest of the poem is excellently written, too. I like the imagery that you created through the poem.
