Shallow and Vain [Abc poem]

by xoxShorteexox   Jun 21, 2007

Appearance is your fad,
Boasting about your looks,
Carrying on about yourself,
Dancing in front of the mirror,
Eyeliner perfectionist; hours of work,
Fake-up is what it's called in your case,
Growing up in vain; eyes always on the mirror,
Hopelessly lost in your reflection,
In case you missed it, no one loves you, doll,
Jaded at the scene; you've lost it all,
Kissing your mirror; shallow and vain,
Laughing at yourself; a cry for help,
Many lives broke that day; your dying die,
Name on a polished stone; shallow grave,
Orchards blossom there every year,
People just stare; no words left to be said,
Quiet moments; came and gone,
Raging tears; too vain for someone to care,
Suddenly, it stops; at that moment,
Time rewinds to the day; you became obsessed,
United in reality again; unsure of the truth,
Vain isn't everything; nightmare of death,
Will you change your ways; or have no one care,
Your choice; vain and shallow or love and care,
Zesting away this question won't stop the truth.
