Beautiful Pain (for my strong loving cousin)

by carissalynn   Jun 21, 2007

Searing pain, surgery, hurt.
Such beauty can have so much wrong behind it.
i try to speak, i try to eat, i try to laugh,
all of it , over taken by pain.

A close somebody, like a sister
has pain behind the beauty.
I feel the Infliction of pain through her.
Knowing, that I, cannot do anything
in my little human, impotient form.

This thing called prayer, ill try it.
Usually people pray, to take guilt away
But do they really know who their praying to?
Are they praying to anything at all?

How can i know what i am praying, is being heard?
Is it diligent enough for my creator?
How can i have words for such beautiful pain?
How do i know i am praying right?

Dear lord,
Make my words legible,
Give me wisdom in your way,
Just to pray for her beautiful pain.
Amen.

It doesn't matter who you pray too, your words will be heard, just have faith. I do hope the pain will cease for you both. You have a beautiful caring and loving heart and it shows within this write.

This really is beautiful. From my own views it seems like it's about feeling lost and confused. Great job.

The title was a perfect pick...this was a beautifully penned dedication to your cousin.
The tears crept on my as this touched me more than I can explain.
