Summer

by xoxShorteexox   Jun 21, 2007

As the stars fade,
and the dawn rises,
the birds awaken,
they're mellow song begins.

As the birds sing,
and the sun rises,
people start another day,
and their week begins.

As the parents awaken,
and tremble to their cars,
kids stay asleep,
and wait until lunch.

As the kids are up and moving,
childish giggles fill the air,
girls going on about boys,
and boys talking about the games.

As the sky darkens,
and the stars rise,
loving couples come out,
as they stare at the stars together.

As the stars fade,
the day waits to repeat itself,
summer's truly here,
and this is what it's all about.
