I wish it was never this way

by Kara   Jun 21, 2007

Every day I wish it were never this way
Every night i would sit in the dark corner
Every Afternoon I would stare at the tombstone
Every Morning I would listen to the cries that were not there

Every day you came to me to fight
To fight for what wasn't right
What wasn't right was the tombstone that laid in sight
The tombstone that let go deadly cries

from day to day
week to week
month to month
year to year
I wish it were not this way

But you had to fight
for what wasn't right
now this poem lays on your tombstone at night.
