Piece by Piece

A nervous habit,
Breaks deep into skin.
Layer by layer it peels.

How can I fix myself
When I tear myself apart?
Piece by piece,
I go missing.
Piece by piece,
I break my own heart.
Drop by drop,
I spill my own blood.
Drop by drop,
I cry myself to sleep.
What am I doing to myself?
Can I fix me?

A nervous habit,
Why can't I let go?
Word by word,
I scorn me...
Bit by bit,
I go.

I like the form of this poem, it's unique.
    Emotions are well expressed, too.
    "Piece by piece,
    I break my own heart.
    Drop by drop,
I spill my own blood." - my favorite lines.
