Fatal Attraction

by Blue Eyes   Jun 21, 2007

I can feel myself choking.
The glass shards embedded deeply in my throat,
I'm reminded of your sweet face as pain numbs my neck.

I lay comfortably in a bed of blood,
crimson enveloping me in a blanket of velvet,
smiling as if the copper taste filling my mouth was sweet as sugar.

I can see your handsome face,
lifting my chin with that slender finger,
whispering sweet nothings to meet my ears.

I can see your other hand lift,
lacing your fingers with mine,
bringing our hands against my breast with utter tenderness.

I can still feel your breath against my face,
wafting against my blushing cheeks,
as you lean in dangerous close to my trembling lips.

And I can still feel the window shatter against my back
as you push against my chest,
letting go of my hand with a satanic smirk.

As the world turns red,
I can still see you standing by the broken window,
mouthing those three words.

Lifting my bloodied hand,
I reach out for you,
as you end my days with a loving "I'll see you soon."

Fatal Attraction.
