Hush Now

by What A Beautiful Lie   Jun 21, 2007

Hush now.
That's what we are told to do when we are crying babies.
Hush now.
That's what adults tell us to do when we are young children.
Hush now.
That's what teachers tell us to do when we get to loud.
Hush now.
That's what everyone says when I speak my mind.
Hush now.
I'm tired of being quiet, I want to SCREAM!
Hush now.
Listen to me because I need your guidance.
Hush now.
Don't shut me out because I'm not perfect.
Love me for who I am.
Hush now.
I don't want to give up, but I'm so tired of fighting for your attention.
Hush now.
Would you care if I wasted away.
It seems as though you wouldn't.
Hush now.
Please listen to me.
Don't give up on me yet.
Don't say Hush now.
I am your future, don't you even care.
Hush now.
