Everything Changes

by nikki misanthrope   Jun 22, 2007

I wake up in the morning.
The sun & I go through a fresh cycle of repeatation.
Everything Changes but Nothing is Different.
I mock my mothers words of my insanity-
Another name for me to go by.
Everything Changes but nothing is Different.
I bring a crisp new blade from the kitchen cabinet.
Everything nothing is Different.
The new, but familiar drop of salty water
sheds from my eyes.
Everything Changes but Nothing is Different.
My friends are betraying me;
we still don't talk.
Everything Changes but Nothing is Different.
I lay down once more on a bed that
feels so cold & hard to me.
Everything Changes but Nothing is Different.
