Gone

Today I stood in the rain
Yelling up at God
Hoping he might understand
Or maybe tell me why
My friend took her life
Couldn't he take her pain away
Have her looking for better days
Did God really think
She would survive the life she was dealt
Her family put her through living hell
Cuts, bumps, and bruises
And scars that will never fade
The lonely look in her eyes
never seemed to go away
Do you know who she was God
Did you feel her pain
Did you cry for her when she was living
That life that drove her insane
