Star lit night
No moon tonight
My lover is gone
The poetess is alone

He won't return
Never more
Poor broken heart
Forever alone

Star lit night
Moonless night
Cry with me
Be my company

Catch my tears
Cover me
Take this broken heart
Before it comes the dawn
