Lonely Heart

I am desperate
i am confused
i am threatened
i walk alone

i see the stretch of road ahead of me
(it is so painfully blank)
i turn back to estimate how far i have come
(not knowing where u r going makes all the distance u travel useless)

i ache, i panick, i cry
i wept like my life existed in tears
i try to hold on, i realised all too soon
that i held on to nothing

where is meaning? (nothing makes sense)
where is substance? (all i see is emptiness)
where is hope? (i hoped only for death)
where is love? (ever so elusive)
where is truth? (who cares anyway?)
where am i? (sinking, if not sank)

the tears flow
yes, these are my tears
these are my meanings
these are my hopes
these are my substance
my truth and my love
these tears never leave me

i am desperate
i am confused
i am threatened
i walk the face of this EARTH all ALONE (sobs)
