She whispered

by purplemadness   Jun 22, 2007

Softly she whispered in my ear,
The words that I needed to hear.
She told me that she needs me more than air,
And that without me she would be lead into despair.
The memory of someone else is long gone,
Now that she told me she won't leave me alone.

Silently she sighs in my ear,
I can feel her body, she's so very near.
Her honey kisses make me go insane,
She's about to heal my inner pain.
And just as I think that I will never again be alone,
I wake up by the ringing of the phone.

Somebody has something to sell,
I just tell him to go to hell.
Devastated I fall back on my bed,
This dream, it's driving me mad.
Every night it's all the same,
And every night I'm willing to play this game.

But in this dream, she's so damn real,
How can I explain the way I feel?
How can I explain my tears?
How can she take away my fears?
But will she ever know that she's in my dreams?
Or will she ever hear my silent screams?

In my dreams she sets me on fire,
And when I wake up, it's her I desire.
I know that she's out there far away,
But I also know that I'll stand before her someday.
And maybe then, she puts her lips close to my ear,
And whispers those words I am dying to hear.

I adore this piece. It was, in fact, written and presented rather well and sound. The overall diction and flow of words were terrific. How poignant and moving are your words! As a result, on the whole, I give you my props for writing such a fantastic piece. ~Marian
