Love Is It's Name

by Ryan Watkins   Jun 22, 2007

You look high and low
you search left and right--
You muse during the day
And panic overnight

You fear it's never there
Yet it surrounds you all the time--
It can't be sold in stores
And you can't buy it with the prettiest dime

It's within a beating heart
that this mystery can be found--
It speaks the loudest
but refuses to make a sound

It makes us progress
and yet it holds us back--
It takes us off course
And keeps you on track

It's guts, pain and glory
One's mortal chance at fame
It's legacy is life
And Love is it's name
