No one

by Steven Cornett   Jun 22, 2007

He went into a cafe and sat down
And the waitres saw him start to frown
The green bus pulled next to the shop
To take this young soilder to the war we fought

He told the young girl he had no one to write too
"So can it be you?"
I dont want to die invain
And no one even know i would be slain

He was only 18
And he didnt know if he would be slain
Life to him was nothing but greave
No matter what kind of hand you recive

He left for the army 2 days after he turned 18
He wanted to fight beside the people who wore green
He had no clue what to do
When the bullets flew

His partner stood up at the wrong time
It was such a trajic end
The vision haunted him to this very day
and now he just drinks his problems away

He lost his friends
And everyone he loved on that sand
The date was 1944
And he remembers everything that swore.
