The End in a Safer Place

by Kayla Ann   Apr 22, 2004

When time was young,
and dusk was dark,
the end was near,
but never so clear.

The truth may've been wrong,
but the cold lie deep within
was always nothing but sin.
While the world kept spinning,
the angel's kept singing...
pushing the end to a safer place.

While the world was ending,
the sky's descending,
Earth made nature's call.
The rain wept,
and the river's crept...
washing the end to a safer place.

So when later has come,
no loyalty had laid peace.
Time came too late
and now it's all up to fate.
Yet home calls...
calling the end to a safer place.

No body knows
the feelings showed,
but beginnings make fears
and endings create tears.
But somewhere there is light...
forcing the end to a safer place.

Coming at the end
things are as they tend.
And if you try,
maybe you can fly,
as long as you can survive the winds...
blowing the end to a safer place.

But if you land
in the most pleasant of sand,
look to the new horizon
when the dusk was dark,
there'll be new light...
starting the end in a safer place

If everything is lost,
no matter what the cost,
age can't go back
because that would be the past.
Heads have to be held high...
and send the end to a safer place.

Now is not goodbye,
because the angle's did their part.
Now is not goodbye,
because the rain washed everything clean.
Now is not goodbye,
because home is there to welcome you.

It is not goodbye,
because light can shine through fears.
and the winds will bring good things...
It is not goodbye.
because the end is in a safer place.

You can't say goodbye,
because you'll know when it is time.
