Ourselves

by bon   Jun 23, 2007

When the road seems like its going up hill
And you have no where else to go
Take that risk and go up hill
And believe in what you know

We all have friends who care
And family who will always be there
But sometimes in life we get lost
And when it's dark there wont be a hand to share

Sometimes we have to find out on our own
How our life truly is
Not by what others may think
Or basing it on what we did

The questions in life hold no answer
But lessons which are meant to be learned
And sometimes in life we so awfully fail
And help is what we so solemnly yearn

But no matter what happens in life
We always have ourselves
To pick us up from our own graves
For never is life always swell

We all face hard times ahead
We all will have strife
But the courage to act upon it
Well, that right there is life

It's a good poem, I like the message in it. Just a suggestion though.. To use punctuations.. Because "a poem without a punctuation is like a song without a tune." =)

    Keep up the good work.
