This Cruel World

by Nathan Turner   Jun 23, 2007

Everyone says why, why, why?
All I can promise is that I'll try
I can't let go of her
Her memory sticks on me like fur

Every night I see her face
Where I am now, I hate this place
So hard to forget, so hard to forgive
I had so much love to give

After we finished I did the unthinkable thing
I promised you I wouldn't and everything
I'm sorry for what I did to you
Everything I said to you was true

After the dust had settled you told me you loved me
At one stage we were like honey to a bee
We were that close
But I guess that's the way this cruel life goes

I like this poem very much...it's really true and I understand you very well. You cannot control all that love does, and that is the beauty of it. It has a life of it's own and it helps you realize certain things.

The secnod and third verse are amazing.
    Perfect. Love them.
The first and fourth, though, could use a bit of work.
The rhymes are a bit weak, but you stil lget your point across nicely, though.

    Take care,
