It began a long time ago
This game in life
It started too soon
And ended sooner.

Though it's all over
It still remains
Within her heart
Everyday.

She tries to hide it
Wishes that it would go away
But it still lingers
Still brings her pain.

No one knows what's really wrong
But they see it written all over her face.

The dying self
The teary eyes
Hidden all beneath her
Deep inside.

What she endures is more than you think
More than what you hear about upon the streets
And way more than you read in them stories.

She has only truly loved you
But you never did notice
You just never knew

You her left cold and stuck
Where she stands
Even after she told you that she
Could never love another man

If only you'd just understand
That how she felt for you
Was way beyond anything or anybody else

Knowing not that
This was how it was gonna be
She tries to live off of memories

Yes there's another in her life

He just couldn't compare
She didn't let him through.

Reminds her of her only true love

The one that left her down in the dust
