Time Passes

You come home thinking everything will be fine,
As you enter the door you see the faces of anger,
You don't understand whats happening,
until your ears hear yelling and screaming,
Your tears seem to slip and fall as you walk away from the nightmare,

You close the door behind you escaping your fears,
You lay in your bed trying so quickly to fall asleep to escape to another dream,

As time passes you wake up in your room,
Your mind repeatedly playing the nightmare ,
You sit in your bed crying knowing that memory will never erase as long as time passes.
