I murdered our love

by Marie   Jun 24, 2007

Murdered our love
and when push comes to shove
I know it wasnt right;
my greed impaired my sight

I tried to contain you
so i have no one to complain to
A man who fears of being tame
is not a man that is to blame

For leaving me behind
to some other woman find
to be with her instead
to lie with her in bed

I murdered our love
and when push comes to shove
my regrets cannot revive
cannot make our love alive

they only sit inside my head
leaving my hearts in shreds
reminding me that I did wrong
and convincing me i'll never move on

because I murdered our love
and when push comes to shove
I'll never forgive myself

The title was quite eye capturing and attention grabbing definitly made me want to read this piece. You have written this poem as Debb has said with quite success. The emotions portrayed were put into with depth this was none the less a great read and im sure an even better write. Well done ~mel

Verily, this was such a lyrical success. How you portrayed your innermost feelings is quite enchanting. The aforementioned lines are quite true, and the whole piece itself is very emotive as well. I think you did a good job with this piece. Take care. 5/5 ~Marian
