Bide Your Time

by GretaInsideOut   Jun 24, 2007

Countless days inside this need of more.
I'll never find you amongst the streets of angst.
It doesn't make it any easier to live,
Knowing, always knowing,
I'm never good enough.
I'll bide my time.

Countless nights consume every feeling of suspense.
My life loops like the circles of this world.
Yet I never know when to expect,
Expect the time you fall into my arms.
The times you tell me I'm nothing.
I'll bide my time.

Countless months bonded together only by the strength of my weakness.
Forever-and-a-day slips between my fingers.
It's the only way I know how.
Do you dare to accept me?
You'll never see behind these doors.
Your daughter's life of lies.
It's moments like these,
I'll bide my time.

Countless seconds and I'll fade around you.
You won't watch,
You won't care,
Your heart won't let you.
I'll hide the reasons why I cared.
You'll sit and wonder the reasons why you cried.
So take yourself for all you are, and tell me,
Just tell me,
You'll bide your time.
