Sing With Me [Kyrielle]

by Sweet Fragility   Jun 24, 2007

When you look into my blue eyes
I can see the burning passion.
I know you'll never say goodbye.
Sing with me the song of the stars.

Words gently murmured in my ear,
Reminder of your affection.
Rush of ecstasy when you're here.
Sing with me the song of the stars.

The sweet taste of your soothing kiss,
I wish for this to never end.
Your presence would be truly missed.
Sing with me the song of the stars.

I've never sang this song before,
Never felt the way I do now.
You're the only one I live for.
Sing with me the song of the stars.

The Kyrielle is a French form of rhyming poetry written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines), and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of only eight syllables. There is no limit to the amount of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is considered the accepted minimum.

I love this. Very impressive for your first Kyrielle; one thing I though could have been improved in this piece was the grammar..each line ended with a period when some could have ended with a comma, improving the flow a bit...other than that, it was flawless !

"You're the only one I live for.
Sing with me the song of the stars."

    ^^ LOVED those lines !
