Just a girl

by beth   Jun 24, 2007

Just a girl nothing more nothing less
sitting by the window of her life
watching the rain fall down
just another nameless face
that no one wants to know

all the hopes and dreams locked away inside
but as each day passes
all her hopes and dreams are driven deeper down
into her soul
far away from the hatred of life its self

just a girl nothing more nothing less
sitting by the window of her life
watching the world pass her by
not wanting to join in with society

she looks back on her short life
wondering what she could have done to prevent it all
the hatred
the sorrow
the never knowing what will happen next

just a girl nothing more nothing less
lying by the window of her life
dead to the world and all who live there
the one person she wanted most
never knew
confused by teenage life

but now shes gone
the world still keeps on turning
no one ever asks of the girl who once watched them pass by
and know one ever will

i know this simply because
I'm just a girl nothing more and nothing less
looking through my window
watching the world pass me by
as each and every day starts and end i wonder simply
why does it have to be like this
