Masks

On the outside she's beautiful,
but they all say it't the inside that matters.
Well the inside of her it's all the ugly pain she hides from the world.
No wonder no one loves her

She forces herself to get up each morning
and have a smile on her face,
but as soon as the lights go out
she sits and cries herself dry.

It started out a game for fun,
a game this girl never won,
so she practised deep and really hard,
till she had no place that wasnt scarred
she went back and won that game,
with the deepest cut along her vein
