The Piano

by Wings Of Flames   Jun 25, 2007

The Piano

My feet cross the floorboards,
An even undisturbed dance,
No voices echo my thoughts,
As my fingers have one chance,

I slip upon the seat,
Soft yet so cold,
A motion now so haunting,
As my spirit now unfolds,

This life on a platter,
As the key stays in air,
The sound deep and bold,
And this life now to share,

As the words pass my lips,
No one understands,
Although they stare in wonder,
And voice this with their hands,

The curtains close my eyes,
As the light fades away,
Walking to the midnight,
Wishing not to see the day.

Beautiful. This one is a five. Claps* I did one called the instrument but I don't think it was as good. I don't remember entirely though. Good job though. :)

Wow, very effective and captivating. Whole poem is so unique and excellently written, every stanza is simply breathtaking. I like the imagery a lot, it's so greatly created.
    My favorite stanza is:

    -My feet cross the floorboards,
    An even undisturbed dance,
    No voices echo my thoughts,
As my fingers have one chance,-

Well done, keep up! 5/5 from me
