Steps.

by Vintage   Jun 25, 2007

Shut your eyes;
hide those tears,
wake up
she's gone.
I try to follow,
I stumble,
I fall.
Full of regret,
remembering the last
goodbye
when you left.
One step,
two steps,
three.
Further away
silently wishing for
you to come back.
Four steps,
Five steps,
Six.
And I smile,
'cause you will be here again
soon.
Seven steps,
eight steps,
nine.
It will be okay,
like they all said before.
Tenth step.
Don't worry;
carry on walking,
she'll be back,
like she said,
soon.

    Wow.
    For some reason I really liked that poem.
    You kept my attention with the counting thing.
    That was amazing.
