Getting over a boy.

by StormyWeather   Jun 25, 2007

She bought black balloons and half a pack of glitter glue.
She drew up love hearts on them and she wrote on each balloon.
This is for the memories that I let go today,
And then she smiled and let them go, and watched them fly away.

She took a sheet of paper and she wrote his name real small.
She crossed out her endearments and she wrote NOTHING at all.
She ripped up all the evidence, and kept the tear-stained page
The words were barely visible- I'm missing you today.

She wrote it down in lyrics and she sang it to the crowds
Screaming to oblivion, she shouted it real loud.
I've written it in poetry and yet I can't move on
She searched for his face everywhere, but he'd already gone.

She watched him smiling from afar, she watched each girl he kissed.
She took a knife and carved her last farewell into her wrist.
He took her in his arms that day and heard her best goodbye-
I'm sorry, I'm almost numb now baby, far too numb to cry.
