Chocolate Covered Candy

One red m & m
is in a plastic cup
with six browns,
six brown m & ms.

Shake it, stir it.
Flick it, spin it
but there will still be
one red m & m.

So saddening
and heart wrenching
such emotions can't be felt
by just a red m & m.

But the hatred radiates
out the rim of the plastic cup
from the six brown m & ms
toward that one red.

Only when the chubby hand
reaches into the cup to grab
a chocolate covered candy
do these thoughts begin to change.

    I liked the meaning behind this poem it was quite interesting and your symbolism is truely great. To me though the flow seemed to lack, expecially in the first stanza. It got better to me futher down but the first stanza is what really needs to grasp the reader and the flow just didn't do that for me. Overall a simple piece which was pretty good. Well done. ~Mel

    This one is pretty good.. it could use some more work, but it has great potential!! i like it, it explains how one person can change ur life! great symbolism! :o]
