What now?

Caught up in something I couldn't control,
now it's taken control of me.
A deeper hole I've dug myself
and I can't seem to get myself free.

I didn't heed the warnings
and I let down my guard.
But I had no way of knowing
that I could fall so hard.

My logic is starting to fail me
and my heart is running blind.
I can't stop thinking of you
and I can't get you off my mind.

I can't believe how hard I fell
and it happened oh so fast.
I was a fool to think something could happen
and to believe that it would last.

I was caught up in the moment
of something exciting and new
but now the moment's caught me
and I don't know what to do.

At first I thought I'd be okay
and that we could be friends
but now we've gone our sepereate ways
and this is where it ends.
