Shake It Off.

by Not Bulletproof   Jun 29, 2007

Baby girl likes to dance for free.
I liked the way she moved all over me;
hips sway from left to right;
she kept it going the entire night.

The smile on her face was my ignition,
I didn't even have to ask permission.
She came over and grabbed my hand;
she shook so hard, I could hardly stand.

Baby girl likes to hit every club,
even dances on tables at the pub.
shaking it hard to leave an impression,
trying to shake off her depression.

The pain she feels leaves her at night;
loves it when all the people fight,
when everyone wants a piece of her
so bad that they have to cause a stir.

Baby girl likes to be the main attraction.
During the day she's the ugly distraction,
with no one to hold, no one to care -
dancing's the only time when life is fair.

The smile on her face was just a show,
she came to me and so I let her go;
I let her dance as long as she could
the way she moved; it made her feel good.

Baby girl said she likes to dance for free,
because it helps her get away from her reality.
So when her night was finally through,
I said "you're beautiful no matter what you do".
