All I Needed

by Daz Mellow   Jun 29, 2007

I'm running, but I'm stumbling on pieces on the ground.
I ignore the scratches as the tears fall from my eyes.
Lost and alone in the world,
No where to go, no where to call home.
How could life be so cruel?

I'm not asking for the impossible.
I'm not asking for permanent.
I just want something that'll be there for more than two minutes.
There when I wake up from my dreams and nightmares,
There when I turn away and turn back around.
This is all I needed,
All I wanted,
But it's something I can't have.

Where are you? Where are you?
I'm falling.
I need you. I need you.
Can you hear me?
Lifes not going the way I want it to,
Nothing is how I thought it would be.
Not nearly perfect like everyone told me,
Now that I'm hanging onto the remaining bits,
With nothing but the ground below my feet,
I'm praying for you to come and rescue me.
I'm admitting defeat...
You were right all along.
I can't do it all on my own.
Now that I know. Now that I know.
All I needed was you.

Will you come and save me?
