This is a great foundation for a poem. keep working on it because it's a common emotion but a rare enough find for a poem.

I like it. Some poems are left short and some can be a lot better long. It all depends on how and what you end up writing when you want to finish it. Let me know whenever you finish it. I'd like to see how you ended this. But so far its good. To me it seems like it'd be good this way, but who knows. Maybe you'll make it even better. Anyways well done. Keep it up!
