The Tallies Rise

by Kayd   Jun 30, 2007

After the years of chaos and tears,
the toil and trouble of spoken word,
and the nifty spaces of forgotten cues;
it seems the memories fade back
on the pitch of an unread excuse.

The things so lost, forgotten at one time
rush along; Each painting the pale campus
bloodshot colours of one ticked-off line,
with the intent to dishonor and bruise hope.
leaving the job for walls to confine;

since such tainted waters remain untapped,
there is little promise left to grasp, the charts and
titles shifting so slowly and deeply.
The similarity deserves a slap in the face,
the increase in wounds arising so steeply

merely suggests the one thing feared by many.
Yet, here we shall sit and ponder; await due to ignorance.
numbers cause lies, a deceit so accustomed to that it's suggested,
welcomed into the lives of those who don't need it anymore.
The fill of this meal left them infested.

cursing from the inside out, darkening
from the false smile and joy to the hidden pout.
Course, ignorance loves, forget not the ignorance.
no time was paid to the lies fed to the foolish
and now there's nothing to end but nescience.
