I used to be his,
The one you hate.
You didn't say anything though,
You just sat there and wait.

I got to know you better,
Getting closer and closer to your heart.
Soon we started confessing things,
That's when you let it slip out..
You told me you've always loved me,
Even though you knew it wasn't meant to be.
I was taken though,
And you didn't want to break it.
You kept on waiting,
Until the day I couldn't take it.

One night I realized,
I have always loved you too.
You are my reason for waking up,
My first thought is to see your smiling face.
I long to embrace you close,
Just hold you near and tight.
I also realized I'd die,
If I didn't have your love,
And that's no lie.

Why wasn't I with you?
That part I still didn't know.
You're the one I truly want,
To have a love that'll last forever.
I want you forever by my side,
With no more sad goodbyes.
You're the love of my life.
