Over the counter Lies

by PoeticJustice   Jun 30, 2007

Over the counter lies, everyday told and told, memorized and rehearsed,
Is it that we are too scared to have our emotions run loose.
Afraid that others wont understand, maybe
We think that they cant handle the truth.
Though straight face looks may hide the lies
These disguises may soon be gone.
Slowly but surely the truth will come out
As there are less places for where to run.
No use in keeping so many deadly secrets
Because soon the cup will overflow.
But until the truth comes out, more and more
Over the counter Lies shall be said and heard.

I like it but I'm not sure if I took it the right way...I tend to see things differently than most people...but i guess thats just the eyes of a poet...ya secret emotions seem to be basicly all of life for me, no one shows how they feel about anything anymore, I really like it
