Just One Of Those Tragic, Romantic Things

Is it better to
wither away from longing,
to fade into fantasies and delusions,
to exist in waiting and wanting
..............a relentless haunting?

Or is it better to
go out in one final
blazing moment of passsion,
just like a modern day
Romeo and Juliet?

I won't really know for sure
until tomorrow
or twenty years from tomorrow.................
