Perfect Night

by Mr M   Jul 1, 2007

Lie quietly in the bed beside me
And I will read to you what other lovers did
Before the day when you and I were born
And found, in each, our destiny.

Gently caress my heart and soul
To find that deepest reach within me
And see just how our love will be
Beyond any words that we could ever find.

Breathe lightly into my very being
To see if Passion's fire dies or stokes
And let the heart that you now hold
Straightly fall away.

Then, bear the torch that burns for you inside me
So that it lights your eternal peace of mind,
But do it in a way that leaves no ashes
Where our souls will be consumed tonight.

Awaken to the morning sounds
Of birds and rays and gentle dew collecting,
Then, draw the shades to hide with me
From the dawn that would take our perfect night away.
